Download: Data S1 [zipped folder; ~7.5 MB]. This zip folder contains a movie of the eruption of Volcán Fuego, as well as firmware code and hardware designs for the Gem Infrasound Logger. Firmware code (Gem_firmware.zip) can be unzipped and opened with the free open-source Arduino IDE. Hardware designs are provided for the two printed circuit boards used in the Gem logger. The “Efficientino” board on bottom includes the microcontroller and power supply, and the “Gem” board on top includes sensors, Global Positioning System (GPS), micro SD card, and all other electronics. Several files are provided for each board. The bill of materials can be opened with a spreadsheet program. Portable document formats (PDFs) of the schematics and board layouts can be opened in any PDF viewer. Directories labeled “kicad” contain schematic and board layout files that can be opened with the free open-source KiCAD program. Nonstandard component libraries are included in these directories, and it may be necessary to add these libraries to KiCAD’s library configuration.
