Eastern SSA Section Annual Meeting
14 - 16 October
The Netherlands Spa and Resort, Strasburg, Pennsylvania

Hosts: Millersville University, Penn State University, Franklin and Marshall College

The Annual Meeting of the Eastern Section of the Seismological Society of America was held October 14-16 in Strasburg, Pennsylvania. Meeting photos and downloadable Powerpoint files of many of the presentations from the meeting are now available at the meeting website.

2006

SSA Annual Meeting, 18-22 April 2006, San Francisco, California. Part of the 100th Anniversary Earthquake Conference, commemorating the 1906 San Francisco earthquake. In conjunction with EERI and Disaster Resistant California.

A set of 2 CD-ROMs containing the Proceedings of the 100th Anniversary Earthquake Conference (including all abstracts the SSA Centennial Annual Meeting) is available for purchase from the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute. The cost is $75.00.

The SSA meeting program from SRL 77:2 and an addendum to that meeting program are available as downloadable Adobe PDF documents (the addendum contains information on four sessions which had not been finalized when SRL went to press).

The 2006 SSA Eastern Section Annual Meeting was hosted by Natural Resources Canada and the Ottawa-Carleton Earthquake Engineering Research Centre, from 2-4 October in Ottawa, Ontario.

2006 William B. Joyner Memorial Lecture and the 100th Anniversary of the Founding of the Seismological Society of America

The Society's founding members approved SSA's first governing documents 100 years ago on November 20. To commemorate this event, a special presentation of this years Joyner Lecture by Norm Abrahamson was held in San Francisco. Click here to see pictures of and a report on the event.

2005

2005 SSA Eastern Section Annual Meeting, 3-4 October in Memphis, Tennessee (field trip to New Madrid Earthquake Country on Sunday, 2 October). Hosted by the Center for Earthquake Research and Information.

2005 SSA Annual Meeting, 27-29 April 2005, Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort and Casino, Incline Village, Nevada (outside of Reno). Hosted by the University of Nevada at Reno. John Anderson and David von Seggern are cochairmen.

2004 SSA Eastern Section Annual Meeting, 1-2 November in Blacksburg, Virginia. Hosted by the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.

SSA Annual Meeting, 29 April-2 May 2003, Caribe Hilton, San Juan, Puerto Rico. Commemorating the 100th anniversary of seismic instrumentation in Puerto Rico. Hosted by the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez.
