2008 SSA Annual Meeting

Santa Fe, New Mexico
The 2008 annual meeting was hosted by Los Alamos National Laboratory in cooperation with other Rio Grande institutions including New Mexico Tech, Sandia National Laboratory & University of Texas at El Paso.

SSA Annual Meeting
11–13 April,
Hilton Waikoloa, Hawaii
The Society's 2007 Annual Meeting was hosted by the University of Hawaii. It was held 11 - 13 April 2007 at the Hilton Waikoloa Village on the Big Island of Hawaii.

Part of the 100th Anniversary Earthquake Conference, commemorating the
1906 San Francisco earthquake. In conjunction with EERI and Disaster
Resistant California.A page of video highlights of the conference are now available (Adobe/Macromedia Flash Player version 8 or higher is required to view the videos).
A set of 2 CD-ROMs containing the Proceedings of the 100th Anniversary Earthquake Conference (including all abstracts the SSA Centennial Annual Meeting) is available for purchase from the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute. The cost is $75.00.

The SSA meeting program from SRL 77:2 and an addendum to that meeting program are available as downloadable Adobe PDF documents (the addendum contains information on four sessions which had not been finalized when SRL went to press).
2006 Eastern Section Annual Meeting

The 2006 SSA Eastern Section Annual Meeting was hosted by Natural Resources Canada and the Ottawa-Carleton Earthquake Engineering Research Centre, from 2-4 October in Ottawa, Ontario.
2006 William B. Joyner Memorial Lecture and the 100th Anniversary of the Founding of the Seismological Society of America

The Society's founding members approved SSA's first governing documents 100 years ago on November 20. To commemorate this event, a special presentation of this years Joyner Lecture by Norm Abrahamson was held in San Francisco. Click here to see pictures of and a report on the event.
