Local Attractions

San Francisco offers a remarkable number of cultural attractions, world-famous landmarks, and great restaurants set against a background of extraordinary natural beauty. San Francisco is a reflection of the diverse communities that make the city what it is! A stroll along San Francisco's oldest street, Grant Avenue, takes you from Union Square's shopping and theater districts through bustling Chinatown, into North Beach (our "Little Italy"), all the way down to Fisherman's Wharf. Or follow the Barbary Coast Trail, marked by medallions and arrows in the sidewalk, beginning at the Old Mint at 5th and Mission, to Aquatic Park at Fisherman's Wharf for a 3.8 mile self-guided walking tour through the city's colorful history. A map is available at the San Francisco Convention & Visitors Bureau, Hallidie Plaza, 900 Market Street, or call (415) 775-1111 for information.
