Ground

FROM SAN FRANCISCO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (SFO)

Taxis cost about $35 from SFO to the Cathedral Hill Hotel and are found outside the baggage claim area. Numerous door-to-door shuttle van services, like Supershuttle (http://www.supershuttle.com/) and Lorrie's ([415] 334-9000), can take you to the Cathedral Hill Hotel for about $11. Shuttles are found on the upper (departure) level, one floor above the lower (baggage claim) level. Exit the terminal on the departure level and cross the street to the middle traffic island. Signs and enthusiastic shuttle touts will show you where various shuttles stop. Reservations are not necessary, although they may be advisable after 11:00 p.m. when shuttle service is less frequent.
 

Driving

Driving from Marin County:
From Golden Gate Bridge: Exit at Lombard. Follow Lombard to Van Ness Avenue. Turn right and proceed approximately 15 blocks to hotel (between Post and Geary, on right-hand side).

Driving from south of San Francisco (San Francisco International Airport and San Jose):
Take 101 North and follow the signs toward the Civic Center. Take the Mission Street exit (Mission Street is after 9th Street exit). Turn right at the end of the off-ramp on Mission. At first light turn left on Van Ness Avenue. Follow Van Ness Avenue to Geary. Turn left on Geary. Hotel is the first driveway on the right off of Geary.

Driving from the East Bay:
Cross the Bay Bridge (I-80 West) and exit on the right side at the 9th Street/Civic Center exit. At the signal, go straight ahead onto Harrison Street. Go one block on Harrison Street and turn right on 9th Street. Be in the left-hand lanes of 9th Street. At Market Street, the left lanes will turn into Hayes Street. From Hayes, make a right onto Franklin Street, then go to Post Street and turn right. Turn right into the driveway just before Van Ness Avenue and proceed to the front door of the hotel.
