SSA President-Elect & Members Testify for House Natural Resources Committee

On 27 March 2014, the anniversary of the Great Alaska Earthquake and Tsunami, SSA President-Elect Lisa Grant Ludwig of the University of California Irvine, testified on behalf of SSA at a hearing on "Advances in Earthquake Science: 50th Anniversary of the Great Alaskan Quake" called by the House Committee on Natural Resources, Subcommittee on Energy and Mineral Resources. Also testifying were SSA Members John Vidale of the University of Washington and Bill Leith of the U.S. Geological Survey in Reston as well as earthquake engineer Reginald DesRoches of Georgia Tech.
