This electronic supplement contains two tables. Table S1 features a list of all local earthquakes used in the b-value calculation of the main article with calculated local magnitudes and associated magnitude error. This excludes any events associated with the eruption of Nabro volcano. Table S2 contains information for all those events from Nabro, which were excluded from the b-value calculation.
