Kurtosis for distances ≤100 km and for all sites are shown for seven periods; “Factor” shows the average of the absolute value of the seven mean residuals. Colored values show position in the hierarchy of the GMPE as given by the factor column (red, rank one; green, rank two; and blue, rank three). Note: A value close to 3 indicates symmetry (mesokurtic), whereas a value less than< 3 indicates platykurtic and if greater than >3 indicates then leptokurtic prediction by the model.
