This electronic supplement contains source geometry files and 1D crustal velocity models for parts A and B validation scenarios.

Download: Source And Velocity Models [Zipped Excel Workbook; 312 KB]. The different source geometries and the crustal velocity models selected for parts A and B are provided in the Source and Velocity Models Archive. For Part A validations, the hypocenter location was fixed (optimized to match published values), and 50 realizations of the source were used to generate different time series. For Part B, the simulations were performed for two different velocity structures: the Bay Area (BA) and the Los Angeles area (LA) regional models. For the Part B simulations, the hypocenter locations were randomized for each of the 50 source realizations.

Download: Event Files [Zipped Excel Workbook; 47 KB]. The validation data for each Part A event is provided in the Event Files Archive. The station information is provided for each event in a separate worksheet. The ReadMe worksheet provides the explanation of the headers in the other worksheets.
