This electronic supplement contains tables of distance (−logA0) and station (S) corrections terms to be used for local magnitude (ML) computations in Italy. ML at each station is computed as
ML = log A + (−log A0) + S.
Table S1. Distance correction terms and corresponding estimation errors (err) as a function of hypocentral distance for a single-region (Italy) and two-regions (northeast and southwest) piecewise linear functions (see main article text).
Table S2. Station correction terms (S) and corresponding estimation errors (err) for the Italian Seismological Instrumental and parametric Database (ISIDe) dataset. N is the total number of amplitude observations used, N (NE) and N (SW) are the numbers of source–receiver paths mainly crossing the northeast and southwest regions respectively (see details in main article text). Italic indicates the stations with fewer than 10 observations (their correction terms are poorly constrained by data).
