This electronic supplement contains tables of events recorded at Piton de la Fournaise volcano between 1 January 2009 and 20 June 2016, confusion matrices, and the standard performance metrics for each classifier.

In the tables that follow, class names are given in French (the native language of the observatory operators): Effondrement = rockfall; Local = local; Onde sonore = sound wave; Phase T = T phase; Profond = deep volcano-tectonic (VT); Regional = regional; Sommital = summit VT; and Teleseisme = teleseismic.

The table contains four columns with column separator ‘;’. The first line contains the header of each column. The column descriptions are: (1) date and time of start of event in format “YYYYmmdd HHMMSS.ss”; (2) duration of the event in seconds; (3) manual classification of the event; and (4) operator having classified the event.
