The Bulletin of the Seismological Society of America (ISSN 0037-1106) is the premier journal of advanced research in earthquake seismology and related disciplines. It first appeared in 1911 and was issued on a quarterly basis until 1963. Since 1963, it has appeared bimonthly (in February, April, June, August, October, and December). Each issue is composed of scientific papers on the various aspects of seismology, including investigation of specific earthquakes, theoretical and observational studies of seismic waves, inverse methods for determining the structure of the Earth or the dynamics of the earthquake source, seismometry, earthquake hazard and risk estimation, seismotectonics, and earthquake engineering. In addition to full-length papers, each issue contains a section of "Short Notes" for comments on previously published items or for brief, topical contributions.

BSSA Online
The electronic edition of BSSA now includes all issues beginning with Volume 1, Number 1 (March 1911). Access to the entire collection is available to full regular and student members and subscribers who are current with their dues or subscription fees.
Tables of Contents for past BSSA issues, including links to Electronic Supplements, are available on the SSA web site. You can also access the Tables of Contents along with abstracts and full articles at one of the following:
SSA MEMBERS: Members of SSA who are current can access the Electronic Edition on GeoScienceWorld through the Member's area of this site: Member's access to online BSSA (login required).
SUBSCRIBERS: Institutional subscribers can access the Electronic Edition at http://www.bssaonline.org: Subscriber's access to online BSSA (this site is not available to SSA members).
NON-MEMBERS/SUBSCRIBERS: Anyone can access the abstracts and tables of contents at http://www.bssaonline.org. Individual articles can be purchased and downloaded from this site for $15.
