Earthquake Notes (EQN) was an official publication of the Eastern Section of the Seismological Society of America. From April 1926 through 1928, the original publication of the Eastern Section of SSA was the Bibliographical Bulletin. Volume 1, Number 1 of Earthquake Notes appeared in July 1929. In 1987, Earthquake Notes was renamed Seismological Research Letters (SRL) and continued to be published by the Eastern Section. In 1995 publication responsibilities for SRL shifted from the Eastern Section of the Seismological Society of America to the national Society. A section of most issues of SRL is still devoted to the Eastern Section.
Although Earthquake Notes is no longer being published, there is a small stock of back issues. Some back issues of Seismological Research Letters published by the Eastern Section are also available. Indices of articles which appeared in Earthquake Notes and Seismological Research Letters are available online. Links to all of this information can be found below.
