The Matlab function "CD_ALG.m" implements the algorithm described in the paper for detecting the Back-to-Zero (BZ) type of clipped waveforms.
The file "demo1.dat" is an example waveform with some BZ type clipped points.
The matlab function "demo_CD_ALG.m" calls the program "CD_ALG.m" (with a given threshold; here set to 60% of the maximum Observed Range) for detecting the BZ type of clipped points on the waveform "demo1.dat".
Figure S1. The variation of detected clipped waveforms with different amplitude thresholds, using data from 24,135 waveforms recorded by station VO on the vertical component. Triangles are candidate clipped waveforms with maximum amplitudes above threshold. Squares are detected clipped waveforms that satisfy all the algorithm criteria.
Table S1. A summary of the observed ranges, total numbers of waveforms, and numbers of detected clipped waveforms for all stations and components.
