The California Geological Survey Seismic Hazards Program is hiring an Engineering Seismologist to support the program’s hazards mapping and essential facilities review activities to make California more resilient and safer from earthquakes and tsunami hazards. Using knowledge of applied seismology, geoscience, and seismic hazard analysis, the incumbent will work with a team of geoscientists and GIS professionals in producing seismic hazard maps, developing models to assess earthquake ground motions, tsunami hazards, and peer review of geologic hazard reports for schools, hospitals, and other critical infrastructure across the State.
