SSA members receive access to all content published in Bulletin of the Seismological Society of America (BSSA) and Seismological Research Letters (SRL).
Members are also encouraged to explore The Seismic Record (TSR), SSA’s gold open access journal that provides an outlet for timely dissemination of early results, important updates and current topics that warrant rapid peer review and publication.
Subscribers who access the journals via their SSA membership agree to the following terms and conditions:
Content Use
Members receive access to the current year of published content, plus historical backfile access to volume 1, for the term of their subscriptions to Bulletin of the Seismological Society of America (BSSA) and Seismological Research Letters (SRL).
SSA’s published content cannot be used for AI data training without a specific commercial license. Commercial developers or AI companies must obtain permission from SSA before using SSA print or electronic content for AI development, training or implementation. All questions should be directed to info@seismosoc.org.

Member subscriptions to the Bulletin of the Seismological Society of America (BSSA) and Seismological Research Letters (SRL) are for personal and non-commercial use only.
Rights and Permissions
SSA may grant reuse of limited amounts of material from published works. For information about SSA’s permissions policy for use of individual articles, figures, tables, or other pieces of content, please visit our Rights and Permissions page.
Subscription Term
Journal access is provided while your SSA membership is active. If your membership lapses or expires, access is terminated until the membership is renewed.
