README FILE
This document contains a concise list of instructions to complete RaPiER system integration. For a detailed RaPiER system integration guide, refer to The Internet of Geophysical Things: Raspberry Pi Enhanced REF TEK (RaPiER) System Integration and Evaluation. Before running the commands below, copy the contents of the RaPiER_Project directory to the Raspberry Pi’s /home/pi directory. The Command Line Interface (CLI) commands below must be executed, in the order listed, to complete RaPiER system integration.
- Run $ cd /home/pi to navigate to the pi user home directory.
- Run the command $ sudo chmod +x RaPiER_RaspberryPi.sh to make the script executable.
- Run $ sudo. /RaPiER_RaspberryPi.sh in the command line to execute the script.
- Note: The Raspberry Pi will automatically reboot and log the REF TEK user onto the Raspbian desktop environment.
- Run $ cd /home/reftek to navigate to the REF TEK user home directory.
- Run $. /RaPiER_REFTEK.sh to execute the REF TEK interface (RTI) software installation and configuration script.
- Note: You can start, stop, and check the status of the REF TEK Protocol Daemon (RTPD) service by running $ service rtp {start, stop, status}.
- Note: To automatically start the RTPD service after the Raspberry Pi boots, run $ sudo crontab –e. Scroll to the very bottom of the CLI and add @reboot sh /etc/init.d/rtp start.
- Save and exit when done. Reboot the Raspberry Pi.
