Global Travel Grants

SSA’s Global Travel Grant program offers early-career and student members financial support to participate in scientific conferences and workshops anywhere in the world. Since 2018, sixteen SSA members have been given the opportunity to attend international conferences and present their research.

“The Global Travel Grant is special among other grants,” says Leah Salditch, a 2019 grant recipient. “Not many professional societies provide you with the means to attend other meetings, especially ones in other countries.” It’s an opportunity to improve science, she adds, by “sharing [information] across political borders.”

The grant program is competitive, and applicants are required to submit an application and a letter of support. Applications are accepted every year in February and July.
