Join us for the 2021 SSA Annual Meeting – one week and online only, devoted entirely to seismology and earthquake science: 19–23 April 2021.
As always, this is your time to share your science and ideas, meet future collaborators and receive feedback from the SSA community.
Co-Chairs Rich Briggs of the U.S. Geological Survey, Diego Melgar of the University of Oregon and Jenny Nakai of the University of New Mexico will lead us in this new endeavor – striving to create a virtual meeting that will offer the same exciting exchange of research that you have come to expect from our annual gatherings.
Just as in years past, the success of our meeting depends on member input and ideas. Please get involved by organizing a technical session. Proposals are accepted from 15 August–1 October 2020.
What can you expect in the virtual SSA Annual Meeting? Some familiar features will remain: the latest research delivered through oral and poster presentations, networking opportunities, the Joyner Lecture and 5-minute Lightning Talks on the range of seismology. Plus, new features still under development will help us forge new connections and expand our understanding of earthquake science.
Look for the latest meeting information here and in future 3-Minute Updates.
As always, we want to hear from you. If you have ideas to share, please contact the co-chairs at firstname.lastname@example.org.
