Environmental Seismology: Planning for the Planet’s Future

Tuesday, October 14 to Friday, October 18, 2025 in Denver, Colorado

As we approach the 10th anniversary of the Paris Agreement, researchers are turning to multidisciplinary studies to better understand and address the profound impacts of climate change. Environmental seismology will be at the forefront of providing vital insights in this field and providing the tools to monitor, mitigate and adapt to a warming world.

This 2025 topical meeting from SSA invites studies of environmental and non-impulsive seismic acoustical phenomena, as well as presentation of data processing and analysis methods, relative to glacier glacier and groundwater dynamics, fluvial processes, cyclones, environmental landsliding, erosion, ocean acoustics and more. Researchers outside of seismology are also encouraged to submit their contributions.
