Manage and maintain a seismic network of approximately 25 stations throughout the state of New Mexico, including field equipment, networking components, computer processing systems, and permits. Write funding proposals and participate in research related to seismicity in NM, collaborating with researchers in NM and other states. Communicate information about earthquakes in New Mexico to stakeholders and the general public through websites, educational outreach, publication of relevant research, and answering media requests. Act as the Bureau’s point of contact and organizational lead by coordinating the Bureau’s response to seismic events in the state. Supervise students and employees to assist with above tasks.
