Surface-Draped Fiber Captured Plane’s Flight Details at Nevada Airfield

As the single-engine Cessna 172 took off, the team took the opportunity to record several videos that were later used to relate aircraft maneuvers with seismo-acoustic data. Their surface-draped fiber optic cable lies parallel to the taxiway (green fiber). Approximately 4 m to the left (off image), a seismic station was buried by the research team.
